R&I supports and partners across the library to help explore, experiment, and launch new services and service models.

Business Meals

Guidelines
Business meals, either locally or during travel, will be reimbursed when prior approval has been given by your supervisor or the organizer of an event. Examples include: Visiting guest speakers, job candidates, visitor vendors or professional partners, job candidates, Trusted Colleague program lunches (up to 3 lunches for 3 people). In some cases, such as dinner with a guest speaker or job candidate, alcohol may also be reimbursed.

Website Steering Committee

The Website Steering Committee was established to ensure that the Carnegie Mellon University Libraries website remains current and functional while meeting and exceeding web usability and accessibility standards. The goal of the WSC is to build and maintain a website that is accessible and effectively communicates useful information to students, faculty, staff, and all other visitors, ensuring that Library services, scholarly resources, departments, and staff members are consistently identified and discoverable.

Research Metrics Services

The University Libraries provides research metrics support to CMU students, researchers, and staff. Research metrics is the measurement of the impact of published research based on various metrics. Research metrics support includes analyses of your work's overall impact, analysis of your department's research impact, tracking of your research work in social media, enhancing the visibility of your research, and citation mapping.

Outreach Working Group

This group gives the CMU libraries outreach community a space to brainstorm ideas, share information about library outreach events on campus, and share resources. This working group consists of a monthly informal meeting that can include quick check-ins and resource creation as needed.
