The Website Steering Committee was established to ensure that the Carnegie Mellon University Libraries website remains current and functional while meeting and exceeding web usability and accessibility standards. The goal of the WSC is to build and maintain a website that is accessible and effectively communicates useful information to students, faculty, staff, and all other visitors, ensuring that Library services, scholarly resources, departments, and staff members are consistently identified and discoverable. The WSC measures its impact and effectiveness using both qualitative (usability studies, accessibility audits, focus groups) and quantitative (web analytics) research.
