What We Do
Service Development
R&I supports and partners across the library to help explore, experiment, and launch new services and service models.
Specialists
A team of specialists (in collaboration with liaisons) provides expertise, tools, and coordination that supports data management, publishing, the institutional repository, digital projects, and research curation.
Project Management Office
The Project Management Office works across the library to partner and support a variety of project management needs. This could include being fully embedded within a project team or serving as a consultant. The PMO can help with defining scope, establishing deliverables, and setting milestones.
Research Information Management Services (Elements)
The Research Information Management Services (RIMS) is a university-wide program that brings together CMU information about scholarship, creative practices, and funded research endeavors, as well as teaching, service, awards, and leadership accomplishments. RIMS partners with many CMU Stakeholders (Research Office, Human Resources, Registrar, etc) and with library liaisons to offer a portfolio of services including public profiles, annual review tools, and a variety of assessment and analytics support.
Technology Development
Technology Development provides consulting, guidance, planning, design, development, and stewardship for digital projects, platforms, systems and the related technical infrastructure.
